I was on the recent Textile trip through Rajasthan (Feb/March 17). It was Truly the trip of a lifetime, I can't say too many good things about the whole adventure. It was Mixed with seeing Cultural sites that were beautiful, guides took us through most Forts and palaces so we understood what we were seeing. We participated in workshops that were the highlight of the trip.. they took place in the homes and studios of local people and families who have been doing these crafts for generations. We block printed, learned about dying fabrics with all natural dyes, learned traditional tie dye and spent a day stitching in a little cottage industry alongside the indian women. we visited families in a lIttle village who were weaving gorgeous sari fabric.. it was a perfect mix of seeing sights and hands on work. We felt like we saw the "real india"
We loved Anja, sunil and our driver was amazing. We felt safe and taken care of the entire time. We laughed and learned so much about the country. The food was delicious, they guided us to safe places to eat so we didnt get any Delhi Belly. The accommodations were lovely, some more basic than others, the heritage hotels were spectacular. I loved the mix and there was something special about each one.
I would go back in a minute with them, it was a perfect trip.

I recently returned from the textile tour with Maasa India Tourism (Feb/March 2017).
I have always wanted to travel to India so when I saw the itinerary for the textile tour I jumped at the chance. I loved every minute of it. It was such fun. Travel and hands on workshops with the most wonderful people! My favorites workshops were the mud resist printing in Bagru, traditional tie dye in Udaipur and block printing and stitching in Pushkar. In between all that was the wonder and beauty of all the forts, palaces and sites along the way. We got to experience Holi in Pushkar which was the cherry on the top.
We were taken such good care of from start to finish, and really got a feel for daily life in India. food was fabulous. We stayed in heritage hotels which really captured the history, beauty, art and design of India.
Sunil and Anja are an amazing team and really made this trip a memorable one. I really leaRned and saw so much that I am still processing it. It was such a beautiful introduction to India I am hooked.
I can’t wait to travel with them again!
